About the venue
Water Resources Institute (WRI) is situated in Entebbe, a city located in south-central Uganda. Entebbe is situated 21 miles (34 km) south of Kampala (The capital city), at the end of a peninsula that juts into Lake Victoria. Its elevation (3,760 feet [1,146 meters] above sea level) gives it a perpetually moderate summer climate. Its 6 km from Entebbe international airport, a drive of about 15 minutes to the Venue.
English is the official language of the Uganda Water and Environment Week and is used for all presentations and printed materials.
Unfortunately, simultaneous translation and interpretation services are currently not available.
Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the conference venue.
Insurance and liability
WRI recommends that all participants purchase relevant personal insurance policies for personal property and health purposes for the duration of Uganda Water and Environment Week. This is especially important for those travelling to Entebbe from overseas.
The organizers cannot accept liability for personal injuries sustained, or for loss of or damage to property belonging to participants (or an accompanying person), either during or as a result of the activities during Uganda Water and Environment Week.
